Farnborough International Airshow: Digital Media
The Brief:
We had been working with the FIA team since 1997 and on winning the International Exhibitor Advertising Campaign pitch for the second time in a row, we noticed what we considered to be a void in their current marketing comms.
We felt that the existing 2 page newsletters for
the FIA were simply not hitting the spot when promoting a world
class event of this magnitude, so we developed an online digital
Exhibitor Magazine product for them as a demonstration of what
could be achieved. So convinced were we of this being an invaluable
product, we decided to develop the solution out of our own
pocket.
The Solution:
The minute the FIA team saw our proposed solution, they were 100% convinced that this was indeed the product they should be using as an innovative market leading company. As a result the FIA was the first international airshow to produce such an advanced piece of digital marketing literature.
We are now working on a series of live magazines leading up to the Farnborough International Airshow in 2010.
The second edition of this rich media emag has just been published and, according to Philippa Ewart, Head of Marketing & Communications at Farnborough International Airshow, it is 'redefining business to business publishing'.
'The days when a printed news letter would be considered sufficient to inform trade customers and partners of news and developments in a company or industry are numbered' says Ewart. She explains, 'We have a very dynamic and interactive product. The only way to do it justice is to embrace those marketing technologies that can communicate that dynamism and rich media publishing is the most exciting and flexible way of achieving that...and our customers love the FIRST magazine which delivers a unique experience and real value'.
