The Brief:

Over the years we have produced many very innovative press and media-packs, most noticeably for a number of motoring organisations including, Skoda, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Vauxhall Motors. Examples of these can be viewed within the portfolio pages on our site.

With press-packs, the name of the game at Ouno is innovation; we want the journalist receiving the pack to remember it, which is not always an easy task considering they are receiving many press-packs day-in and day-out. We therefore have to make sure our clien't are very memorable and we have achieved this successfully by using many different methods, from producing a full 'pop-up' book for the Vauxhall Astra Twin Top, to using 3D and lenticular technology for the Vauxhall Corsa.

Our pack for the Vauxhall Corsa VXR even utilised a heat-sensitive cover. The client wished to promote the 'Hot Hatch' nature of their project so we hid a flamed image beneath a slick black cover design and once the jornalist held the brochure, the heat from their hands made the black disperse revealing a very hot flamed image beneath.

We received a particular brief from Vauxhall for a press-pack to promote their VXR range of products. The 'VXR' offering is their GTi equivalent, a very 'hot' and spicy range of cars.

The Solution:

With the VXR being such a hot and spicy beast we produced their press-pack in the guise of a Takeaway Curry appearing to have arrived from the 'VXR Spice House'. The whole package was presented to the journalist in a takeaway style brown bag, inside was a menu, a naan style bag contained the hard-back press-pack, some foil food trays contained branded bombay mix and a branded polo shirt, a chutney container held a VXR branded keyring and the press CD was designed as a poppadum.

This truely innovative solution received a vast amount of praise from the recipients and ensured the VXR brand range was well and truely imprinted into the journalists psyche for quite some time.
